Hall Of Fame

In 1998 as part of the AFOSI 50th Anniversary Celebration, Brig.General Francis X. Taylor, Commander, AFOSI, in concert with the Association, established the AFOSI Hall of Fame.

The AFOSI Hall of Fame was established to recognize a select few members of the organization who have demonstrated exceptional dedication and leadership in performance of their duties with AFOSI that sets them apart from others who have served in the agency.

The individuals selected for induction into the AFOSI Hall of Fame must have demonstrated exceptional leadership traits in accomplishing their duties or in overcoming unique problems and emergencies. Their performance must have been above and beyond what was expected of the duties assigned and sustained over a period of time except for unique or emergency actions.

The individuals selected for induction into the AFOSI Hall of Fame must have made significant and long-term contributions to the AFOSI mission or performed an unusually heroic action.

The individuals selected for induction into the AFOSI Hall of Fame should have inspired others by personal example, by character, and by conduct as leaders or team players.

During the final celebration of the 50th Anniversary Year of OSI, a Gala Ball held September 12, 1998 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott Hotel, Arlington, VA, jointly with the 11th Biennial Convention of the Association of Former OSI Agents, the first six inductees to the AFOSI Hall of Fame were announced as follows:
